Head of the Department and Clinic of Phoniatrics and Pedoaudiology at the University of Göttingen. Specialist in otolaryngology and pediatric phoniatrics and audiology. From 1982 to 1990, he was head of the Department of Phoniatrics and Pedoaudiology at the University of Marburg. Since 1990, he has been president of the German Society of Phoniatrists and Pedoaudiologists. From 1996 to 1999, he was responsible for communication disorders in the German Professional Association of Specialized Physicians. For over a decade, he has collaborated with the Department and Clinic of Phoniatrics and Audiology at the Poznań Medical University.
