Head of the Department and Clinic of Otolaryngology at the Medical University of Gdańsk. PhD in 1979, habilitation in 1994, and professorship in 2003.
Polish Society of Otolaryngologists and Head and Neck Surgeons: member since 1971, chairman of the Gdańsk/Pomeranian Branch for several terms, secretary of the Executive Board from 1986 to 1989, chairman of the Executive Board from 2012 to 2014, co-organizer of the 34th PTORL Congress (1989), organizer of the 45th PTORL Congress (2012) and the 11th Oncology in Otolaryngology Conference (2005). Active participant in PTORL congresses and conferences since 1976, member of the scientific committees of the Society’s journals. Founder and president of the Association for the Development of Clinical Otolaryngology in Gdańsk.
Consultant to the Pomeranian Voivode in the field of otolaryngology.
Author of 230 published papers and 326 reports at meetings and conferences, editor and co-author of a textbook for students, and author of 5 chapters in academic textbooks.
Supervisor of 13 doctoral theses and supervisor of 4 habilitation theses.
